I don't know about you (?) but the whole question of Search Engine Optimization has given me a lot of grief over the last year or more.

Despite numerous posts I've written debunking a lot of the mystic pushed out by the SEO Witchdoctors I still get emails offering me  SEO services, and comments in my blogs telling me I have to have a Guru help me with Keywords.

So, in an effort to help everybody who hasn't done the research here is one of the world's real authorities talking on the subject.

Unfortunately the video goes on for quite a while and breaks at the end but this is a "must watch" for anybody who blogs for traffic, or is interested in doing that.

Matt Cutts does a much better job of explaining the how and why than anybody I've come across so far.

He also says lots of nice things about Wordpress.

As somebody who uses a lot of Wordpress and now, increasingly Posterous, I can see real advantages to both platforms.

Wordpress gives me lots of flexibility, which is great, but some stuff is really hard to do.

I'm absolutely in love with Posterous, because it makes easy all those things that are tough to do in Wordpress.
